The quality of your camping gear has an effect on the enjoyment that you can gain from camping. It’s easy to get back aches and experience other pains when you have to make certain physical sacrifices at camp. Why would you want to sit on uneven and hard surfaces at camp when you can easily bring a comfortable chair? The thing is, camping equipment don’t exactly come cheap and if you don’t take good care of even your most expensive gear, they will break down. You also shouldn’t leave your chair where it may obstruct the traffic at camp. When storing the chair at home after you have used it, make sure it is protected against sharp tools and hazardous materials.
• Do not place your folding camping chairs under heavy equipment during travel or in storage. This will prevent the damage on the folding mechanisms of the chair. Letting your chair get squished under other heavy equipment can cause the fabric, bolts and screws to get damaged.
• Always clean your chair before packing it. After using the chair at camp, make sure it is clean before you pack it in its bag. The longer you let dirt stay on the surface of your chair, the harder it will be to clean it. Wash or wipe mud and other dirt on the feet of the chair. When you spill food and
• Although most camping chairs such as the Coleman chairs are made of water-resistant materials, you should still try to keep them dry. Never pack away a chair that is wet. Molds and mildew will easily grow on the fabric of your chair even if it is made of water-resistant materials.
