What is the difference between synthetic and down sleeping bags?

Sleeping bags come in two kinds: synthetic and down. What is good about synthetic bags is that they are inexpensive and can provide sufficient warmth. They also dry up very quickly so you do not have to worry about camping in rainy weather with a sleeping bag like this. Furthermore, synthetic bags are also highly durable and can withstand constant wear and tear. Down sleeping bags, on the other hand can give just as much warmth and they are lighter in weight and can be compressed more easily, making packing a cinch. The downside to this is that they are difficult to dry and they loses their ability to provide warmth when they are wet.
